Slyce Inc a visual search platform announced its financial results for the year and quarter ended October 31, 2015. On 12th August 2015, Slyce announced its partnership with SHOES.COM. which is the fastest growing online footwear retailer. A mobile image recognition by Slyce, SHOEme.ca will be able to snap pictures of shoes and thereafter be purchased by a few taps.
On August 26th 2015, it announced that Neiman Marcus had extended Slyce technology to all its product lines. This was through the feature ‘Snap. Find. Shop.’ On October 6th 2015, Urban Outfitters entered into a contract with Slyce for the powering of visual search for mobile commerce. Slyce and Shoe Carnival entered into an agreement on the 22nd October 2015 for the integration of Slyce Technology.
On February 10th 2016, Slyce brought to an end its short-form prospectus offering. It opened doors for a lead investor who came in and subscribed an aggregate of $1.6 million in 6% interest. The investor later subscribed for an additional $1.9 million. Slyce is continuing to accept subscriptions from the lead investor.
In the year 2015, Slyce sought to introduce new use cases for visual research. It created a system that minimizes integration procedure required of any new customers enabling an easy on-boarding for them. On October 5th 2015, it introduced the Universal Scanner that allows an automated recognition of any object. This technology is embedded on all retailer’s apps. The Company also delighted itself with the introduction of Slyce Link in November 2015 that seeks to improve shopping conversations on e-commerce websites. An Enhanced 3D Object Recognition was launched that is able to detect products in various categories from different retailer catalogs.
The year 2015 was also characterized by the launching of 2D Content Management System that eliminates the opportunity of altering anything on a client’s app or website. Clients only need to send print material that is activated into a digital format and then activated.
