Born in Curitiba, Brazil on October 4, 1947, Cornelsen is an investment adviser with many years of experience. He attended Federal University of Parana engineering school in 1965. Igor Cornelsen rise to prominence

Cornelsen made a name for himself in the banking sector that led to him getting a special opportunity to work in Rio as an investment banker. He continued to be the best in his class and eventually in 1974, he received a promotion to join Multibanco board of directors. He became the CEO of Multibanco in 1976.

Following the acquisition of Multibanco by the bank of America in 1978, Igor moved to work with Unibanco, which was Brazil’s leading investment firm up to 1985. Because of the explosion of the inflation rate, he moved to work at Libra Bank PLC, a London Merchant Bank. Here he was paid in US dollars for his salary, and it opened a new world of investment opportunities for him. He moved to London to work at Standard Chartered Merchant Bank as a Brazil representative and member of the board of directors. He worked for 7 years and left in 1995 to form his own investment company. He is currently working as an investment manager and operates his investment funds on a daily basis.
